I’m a Midwest girl, born in Wisconsin and raised in Minnesota.
Yes, my Minnesota accent does sneak out once in awhile.

Viparita Karani: my absolute go-to pose during the pandemic which is simply laying down and elevating your legs against the wall.
So simple. So serene.
A close second? Three minutes of downward facing dog.

My fur baby Henrietta brings me back to our greatest teacher, Nature.
The ocean, the trees, and the fresh air make my heart sing. You, too?

Atlanta! I can’t keep still.
After 5 years in NYC, 10 years in San Francisco, 5 years in Asia and growing up in Minnesota, I now call the Deep South home.

I’m also the Regional Director for YogaLove Magazine and a member of the Yoga Alliance supported SOULFest yoga festival team.

10) The Coronavirus Vaccine Trial
I am beyond humbled.
In May 2020, I became the first person in the world to participate in the historic double-blind Pfizer/BioNTech coronavirus vaccine clinical trial.
The trial at NYU Langone helped launch the large international trial.
In January 2021, I was unblinded and learned I’d been vaccinated for 9 months.
In March 2021, I joined the booster vaccine study.
In May 2022, I received my second booster.
All is well.
I’m healthy and thriving, my friend.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to bring hope around the world.

The time seemed to drag on. I couldn’t relax. I fidgeted and couldn’t sit completely still. Wasn’t that what I was supposed to do? I definitely cheated and peeked to see if my classmates were actually closing their eyes and “doing it”. Whatever that meant.
